personal conflict, [Elinor Morton] Wylie retains her sharp-edged poise. This week's poem epitomises her ability to make a bold, hard metaphorical shell for difficult emotion. She packed her poems in salt, as Yeats advised, and they have lasted well. They deserve to be much better known.Sanctuary
