from Vanderbilt University in 1951 and went on to a long career as professor of English at Peabody College. In 1981, she became a founder and long-time editor of the Cumberland Poetry Review. Touster's poems were published in poetry magazines in England, Canada and the United States and in Homewords, an anthology of Tennessee writers. A collection of her poems, The Wind, the Rose, and the Stone, was published in 2005.A group of poets met at Touster's home every other week for 40 years, sharing and critiquing one another's poems.
