Poetic Obituaries: In 1988, Willa [Snyder] won several awards

for her work as a writer and poet, including two Award of Merit Certificates from World Of Poetry for her poems "Balance Is The Key" and "My Grandma's Garden." She also had two poems included in the 1988 American Poetry Anthology, published by the American Poetry Association. Willa published her own 45-page book, also in 1988, titled "Essences." In October 1994, she was awarded the State of Minnesota Award for Outstanding Achievement, which was presented to Willa for "The effort you take to share your vision of beauty through poetry."
