Poetic Obituaries: [George 'Bud' Harris] was a collector of

Chinese art and furniture, and he was fluent in Chinese, Italian and French.

In 1981, Dr. Harris retired and moved to Vermont from Brookmont in Montgomery County. Nearing the age of 100, he wrote a book of poetry, "Flotsam and Jetsam," about losses that accompany the aging process. His self-description in those years was as a "wreck" of the man he had once been.
