on his own farm when his father passed away, and was one of the first farmers in this area to farm exclusively organic produce, along with his sister, Rose Santaniello-Cross. He sold produce at their roadside stand, and by his charm and bigger than life personality, his customers turned into permanent friends. Along with being a farmer, he was also a poet.
