Poetic Obituaries: "I can't wait," Devon [Allaire-Bell]

wrote back.

A day earlier, he'd posted a poem that seemed to forecast his fate.

Under the heading, Bang Bang, he wrote: "Late nights full of lead that whistles as it goes by, murder arrives, anytime, bullets take flight when the fo' five ignites, some hearts skip a beat, some get blew out, an (sic) never re-light."

Devon was working 12-hour graveyard shifts at the Golden Bakery, noting "this is going to be hectic."
