Great Regulars: It is easy to imagine that parts

of the Scottish coastline haven't changed since longboats landed on the shore. But it is difficult to write a poem as fresh and spare as this one by Caithness writer Donald Mackay, as vivid as a film but hinting at much older storytelling.
