reinstated Dr. [Harold N.] Hild.Back on the faculty, Dr. Hild joined Reynolds to complete work on the English Language Program, which continues to provide tutoring help for native speakers and students for whom English is a second language.
"For him, it was very much a commitment. These students had been historically discriminated against. It was almost morally important," Reynolds said.
Dr. Hild was the first coordinator of the program and oversaw it until about 1979. He went on to chair Northeastern's Communication, Media and Theater Department and focused his teaching on poetry and literature.
