Poetic Obituaries: I visited [Thomas W.] Van Dusen [Sr.] in retirement

in 1992 when he had just published a book of poetry, Whither the Wind, which contained 26 entries. A selfeffacing man, he called it doggerel.

In his den in a rambling farmhouse, he had several manuscripts on the go, other writing projects lying about in a dishevelled state.
