broad--books on math, science, philosophy (including those authored by Zen, Indian and southwestern writers), psychology, poetry, and novels, both classics and mysteries. He liked art movies in particular, but adventure and detective stories intrigued him as well, and music of different descriptions. For important occasions, he told stories and wrote poems.
