Great Regulars: Katherine Beattie's poetry focused

on the everyday course of events from the 1940's which included observations about raising children, caring for a home and family and losing a brother to war. Some of the language and content of her poems take the reader back in time, while some of the issues are just as relevant today as they were 65 years ago.
