of humor and many talents, from writing to painting and music. She won public recognition when a poem she wrote for her children was published in the 1950s, and that led to several articles in Readers Digest. When her children grew up, she went back to school, earned a master's degree at Montclair State College and became an English teacher at Montclair High School.
