Great Regulars: One way is to say what Wittgenstein said,

language philosophy in the early 20th century, "The limits of my language are the limits of my world," which I don't think is quite true.

And the other is to say what Ed Wilson, the environmentalist and entomologist, biogeographer said, which is that every species lives in its own sensory world and, at some point, it dawns on you that you just--we don't have a language for what would be the experience of a tree or, for that matter, a fox or a robin.
