Poetic Obituaries: [Hunter] Ingalls wrote primarily about visual art,

but he had interests in all sorts of fine art.

"Hunter was always a familiar figure around all types of arts events," said artist Ken Wampler, who had known Ingalls about eight years.

In addition to being remembered as an art reviewer, Ingalls also is known as a poet and teacher.

Hunter was a great poet and dear dear friend and mentor.

He and I started the poetry troupe, Calliope's Breath, together with our other dear friend and poet, Kevin Crone, who passed away this week- http://www.amarillo.com/stories/121709/obi_obit2.shtml .

man, we had some times! I miss them both terribly.

Half of Calliope's Breath now in what heavens may be and the rest scattered upon the earth.
