And yet the farmers are the most neglected sections of society in every country and more so in India.Edwin Markham (1852-1940) a great American poet immortalized the trials, tribulations, tortures and toils of an average farmer in his famous poem 'The Man with a Hoe' which was presented at a public poetry reading in 1898.
