News at Eleven: "While we romance with English due to

our exile situation, our counterparts in Tibet have been taking Chinese language to greater heights," writes Tenzin Tsundue, a political activist and writer living in exile in Dharamsala, India. "Tibetans are recording history and writing poetry and stories on love, religion and culture in Chinese. They are singing in Mandarin. The Chinese cannot but regret they gave the Tibetans their tongue."
