Great Regulars: In the mind

When verse drama is written today, it is not always meant to be performed on an actual stage in physical reality, but is often intended to be “performed” in the reader’s imagination.

In this sense, it has something in common with radio drama, which is never seen by the eyes but only in the mind’s eye. And radio drama possesses a kind of poetry by the way in which its emotional effect depends entirely on words and the human voice.
