Poetic Obituaries: Dubbed "the most celebrated publisher

in Egypt and the Arab world" by the country's Al-Ahram state-run daily, [Mohammed] Madbouli died on Friday.

The man, who started his career by selling newspapers at the age of six, was famous for printing or distributing banned books such as poems by Ahmed Fuad Negm, known for his scathing criticism of the country's leaders.
