Great Regulars: Can't teach a poet

No matter how hard you may try you can't teach a poet to cultivate his talent if the motivation is lacking or the circumstances discouraging. One can only sigh and say "Alas!" when such an opportunity is overturned or potential is lost.

In an age where so many are writing so much, the chances for the discovery of poetic genius are increased enormously.
