Great Regulars: Nobody at the Literary Arts Center

in downtown Portland was worried about what they were wearing as "Think Out Loud" got ready for a live broadcast. This was the first time the National Book Award announcement has been made in the Northwest, and the first time it has been carried live on the radio. It also was streamed live on video, and there was a flurry on Twitter as each book went up on the wall.

Portland is well-known nationally as a book town, a reputation that helped bring the National Book Award announcement here.
