Great Regulars: Another element of [Henry] Vaughan's originality

is his use of alliteration. It's as if his work shone a light towards Gerard Manley Hopkins, also a poet for whom the marriage of the visionary and organic takes place in a Welsh landscape, and who sometimes sets the chimes of cynghanedd resonating in our ears.
