News at Eleven: [Sylvia Plath] anticipated our culture's inevitable

reworking of the Holocaust through dark humor by only a few years, and she did it in poetry, not a venue where most people would look for that sort of thing. Consequently, a more misread poem than "Daddy" scarcely exists.
