Great Regulars: As is so often the case in [Stephen] King,

the horror without is merely a manifestation of the evil within--in this case, as it turns out, paranoia and religious extremism--but it's horror nonetheless. The mist turns out to conceal, among other things, giant bugs and tentacled creatures.
