News at Eleven: In an opinion issued Friday,

U.S. Magistrate Judge Dave Whalin found probable cause that Johnny Logan Spencer Jr. of Louisville committed the felony crime of threatening the president when he wrote a poem that included the language "DIE negro DIE" and recently posted it on a white supremacist Web site.

Whalin said it wouldn't have mattered if Spencer "carved the message into a stone sculpture" or "cross-stitched it on a pillow" because a reasonable jury might find that its substance and context constituted "a true threat."
