Great Regulars: In Filling Station, by the American poet

Elizabeth Bishop, she describes its dirtiness, before saying that, for all this, she sees it as a little temple: "Somebody/arranges the rows of cans/so that they softly say:/ESSO--so--so--so/to high-strung automobiles/Somebody loves us all."

It's this unexpected power that has inspired a group of young architects to make real cinema out of all of this imagery.
