Great Regulars: What, more specifically, is nonsense verse?

All poetry works through a logic of association, and the wordplay and music so evident in "I Have My Price" recalls love poetry, as it excitedly squeezes all the pleasure and meaning it can from the relatively few words employed. The best poems cannot be so reduced as to be made "sense" of. That much is clear in any language.
