creative writing from Eastern Washington University in 1996. She then joined the Whitworth faculty and for the past 12 years taught composition, creative writing, and creative nonfiction in the English department. In 2007 she completed her PhD in leadership studies at Gonzaga University.
Her published works include 2005's "On Solitude," a collection of poetry.
