Jan. 9, 1939, in the capital, was a successful writer whose work was recognized with the Bartolome Hidalgo Prize for "Si tuviera que apostar" and the Juan Jose Morosoli Prize for his body of work.

Among his works were "La luz entre nosotros" (1963), "Apalabrar" (1980), "En un lugar o en otro" (2003) and "Escritorio" (2006).
