the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and the Department of Arabic Language and Literature announced Tuesday the passing of Mohammad Yusuf Najm, Professor Emeritus of Arabic at AUB. "Known for his grace, elegance and sharp sense of humor, Najm was a professor for over 50 years, teaching Arabic literature to students at AUB for over 25 years, as well as to students at Harvard University in 1972 and at Kuwait University in 1969," the university statement said.
