Poetic Obituaries: [J. David Danielson] received his PhD

from the University of Michigan in 1960. Jack was an Emeritus Professor of Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University of Hartford where he taught for 27 years.

He was a distinguished scholar, poet and translator, winning awards from the Academy of American Poets, and praises for his book "The Exiles and Other Stories," translated from the work of Horacio Quiroga.
