Polly White, said that her resumé showed that at the [Saturday Evening] Post from 1940 to 1945, Mrs. Orr was a secretary, research department head, and a manuscript editor.
In the Curtis Publishing Co. building on Washington Square, Mrs. Orr did similar work for the Post's sister publication Holiday from 1945 to 1947.
She later submitted short articles and poems to the Post.
After the family moved to Princeton, Mrs. Orr worked for Peterson's, the college-guide publishing firm, from 1974 to 1990.
