of the oldest poetry groups in the North West, and Dr. [Philip John Willoughby-]Higson an esteemed and fondly remembered luminary.
His illustrated volume of poems--Poems On The Dee, published by The Friarswood Press in 1997--commemorated his time as a lecturer in the city, when he had accommodation 'worthy of a poet' in an old villa commanding a fine view of the river, and within sight of the elegant Queen's Park suspension bridge.
