Great Regulars: Francis Scott Key was a Federalist,

a lawyer, attorney general of Washington, D.C., a husband and the father of 11 children. An ancestor and namesake of author F. Scott Fitzgerald, Key is best known for a rare demonstration of poetry: "The Defence of Fort McHenry," otherwise known as "The Star-Spangled Banner."

[Stanley Kunitz] also discussed how he brings his work to fruition. "I think a poem lies submerged in the depths of one's being. It's an amalgamation of images, often the key images out of a life. I think there are certain episodes in the life that really form a constellation, and that's the germinal point of the poems," he said.
