Poetic Obituaries: If an artist ever changes the world,

then that artist accomplishes the task by changing the way individuals see or hear or think. If any American artists achieved this goal in the last half-century, then Adrienne Rich was among those rare few.

When Rich died on March 27, the world lost a great thinker, feminist and activist.
