IBPC: Poetry & Poets in Rags
The Pulitzer has been announced; the Slovakian PEN Centre has criticized a Slovakian magazine for the poetry it published; and death threats were made for hosting a Saudi female poet; but let's begin this week with the birthday boys. Both Edgar Allan Poe and Edward FitzGerald have turned 200 this year. The FitzGerald article really sets the stage for a very international edition of Poetry & Poets in Rags, and one that spans centuries as well.
