Poetic Obituaries: Purnam Allahabadi wrote the famous
Qawwali "Bhar Do Jholli Meri Ya Mohamed (PBUH)" besides the many songs he rendered for Indian and Pakistani films. The real name of Allahabadi was Mohamed Musa.
Purnam Allahbadi was a great poet of this epoch. Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sang numerous songs written by him. He was a mystic poet and spent many year of his life on sufi shrines out of his mystical drive. His death is the end of an era in Urdu poetry. Waves of time can wash away his name from common pages of history but his songs like "TUMHE DIL LAGI BHOOL JANI PARE GI" will echo for long time in the valleys of Love.
Hello! I found this blog for what I am really happy. Do you people have more information about Purnam Allahabadi. If yes then please contact me here is my email. I need information about him. I would be glad of you. forzainulislam@gmail.com
