Genie's work appeared thirty-seven times in The Sun, including ten times in Readers Write. We printed her poetry and several interviews she conducted, but mostly her essays--short but powerful pieces that displayed a great understanding of human emotions and a great bewilderment at life's brevity and frequent disasters.
