of "The Premier Book of Major Poets" (1970), "The Emerging Woman" (1974) and the co-editor of "Distrust of Authority" (1981).

She was president of the Board of Directors of the Settlement House, Brooklyn (1951-1953); a member of the education committee of the National Organization of Women, New York City chapter, from 1972-1975, and chairwoman of Child Study Children's Book Committee Bank St. College from 1983-1998.

In Westport, Ms. Dore served as secretary of the Board of Directors of the Westport Arts Center, 1983-1993; a trustee of the Westport Library, 1985-1992, and as a member of the Committee of Young Poets and Playwrights of the Westport Arts Center.
