Poetic Obituaries: From 1982 she [Inge Laird] contributed book

reviews to the Financial Times, Jewish Chronicle and New Democrat, and was co-opted by the poet Michael Horovitz to co-edit various New Departures publications, including the POP! (Poetry Olympics Party) and POW! (Poetry Olympics Weekend) anthologies. She also helped him put together a number of Poetry Olympics festivals at venues including Ronnie Scott's and the 100 Club, Westminster Abbey and the Royal Albert Hall.

Her own exquisite poetry, and readings of it, swiftly won her a devoted following in Germany, Italy, Australia, Japan and North America as well as in Britain. In 2001 the small Elephant Press published her only book, Poems, and in the following year a CD of the same sequence came out.
