and writing caused her to decide to start a career in teaching. She also became a longtime "reader" at the Huntington Library and a member of the "Live Poets' Society". Norma acquired a job at Los Angeles Harbor College and soon changed many lives of people around her through her inspirational poetry and fun and entertaining creative writing classes.
