Poetic Obituaries: Poetry had always been a passion

for Leslie [Barringer]. Over the last decade of his life, he became known as "The Bard of Queen St."

"A bit like the wandering flower seller, he'd approach people and remark about what a beautiful couple they were," Steve said. "He'd ask them to tell a little bit about themselves and offer to write a poem."

Steve still has a couple of suitcases full of his brother's poems at home.
