Quebec Premier Jean Charest said [Claude] Léveillée "knew how to transmit and share his passion for the French language and music to thousands of people."He'll forever remain an important figure in Quebec culture."
Christine St-Pierre, the culture minister, said Léveillée "was one of the most gifted and prolific pianists in the history of our popular music. His poetry and songs will be forever engraved in our memory."
