Poetic Obituaries: Hattie Mae [Johnson] entertained all

over Newton County, Silver Dollar City, Branson, and was in the first Silver Follies at Crowder College, there for 10 years. She knew 32 poems to recite from memory.

After breaking her hip in 2007, she went to Texas to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She said, poems for a tea in Mt. Pleasant and at her nursing home, making her picture and article in the Mt. Pleasant newspaper.

She moved to Winnsboro Nursing Home, saying her poems to entertain the residents and visitors.
