I can do to get the fire lasting longer overnight. Turning the damper down, letting less air into the firebox, seems to risk more smoke (and creosote, perhaps), while leaving it open burns the logs faster. I'm also wondering how well-seasoned, clean and dry my firewood supply is.Last night, I think I had a pretty good fire going.
