He moved to Ireland in 1980 and lives in Tobernabrone, County Kilkenny. His poetic achievement is perhaps built on the poise he has attained between the different traditions of Irish and English nature poetry. Even So is his latest collection, published by Dedalus Press. I know it's a wonderfully wrought collection, having read it from cover to cover so as to write its introduction.
