Poetic Obituaries: [Mitchell Pham's] parents learned later

that some of the poetry that Mitchell posted on his Facebook account was disturbingly dark.

"A couple of the last poems talked about death and a better place," says Sandra [Chave, Mitchell's mother].

"He obviously doesn't want his parents to be his Facebook friends so (we) can't see what he wrote," says [his father] Tri. "One of his friends was here and signed on and I was able to see what he posted for his friends and, yes, some of it talked about how life sucked and so forth."

"He liked to write poetry and if he had an idea, he'd write it," continues Sandra.
