Poetic Obituaries: [Justin Danchick] was a gifted writer

who won a poetry contest as a child and took writing and psychology courses in college, he said. Later, he twice traveled to India to study with a guru named Amma, he said.

"He was on a quest to find contentment and spiritual ease; to quiet the demons," his father said. "He was very bright."

from Santa Cruz Sentinel: Justin Danchick, whose body was found in Aptos Creek, told friends he was an inch from the bridge

It was so interesting and fun to read his letters from India or from when he was on the road in a big rig. I tried to get him to go back to college. He was bush league. He had talent as a writer.

He was not only a gifted writer, but a dharma brother who went out of his way to be of help to others. I cannot believe he got nothing back when he needed the help.
May he be in a wonderful place now.
