Poetic Obituaries: Educated in Arabic, French and English,

Mr. [George Anthony] Arab was a writer, poet, eloquent public speaker and teacher to many Diman Lebanese immigrants, his obituary said.

A well-educated person, Mr. Arab helped other immigrants after they arrived here.

"Most of them did not have the education, they were confused," Mr. Choueiri said. "He was a great help to them for translation matters and helping them with the paperwork, with documentation."

He also helped them "adapt to the Canadian way of life," Mr. Choueiri added.
