e-mail praising my performance as "compelling" and mentioning the comments she had heard, so it wasn't that I felt unappreciated. It was just a vague feeling I always have after a reading--that I hadn't quite come up to the audience's expectations of what an author should be. I suspect this is related to my own insecurities, but there it is.
