and workshops with several prominent writers. She wrote several flash fiction pieces and award-winning poetry. Her poem, "People Who Like to Eat by the Water," won first place at the Sonoma County Fair. She also enjoyed the Petaluma Poetry Walk, open mike readings and writing salons throughout Sonoma County. She was a member of Redwood Writers, a branch of the California Writers Club.
